Job Descriptions

RESPONSIBILITIES: Meets/exceeds assigned sales performance goals. Sells Phone & Wireless products and services to customers at retail store; staffs sales events at off-site locations on an as-needed basis. Assists District and Store Managers by participating in community events, networking activities,
and sales visits to local businesses. Conducts outbound calls and generates leads to increase customer traffic into the retail store, follows-up on qualified prospects, and performs account management activities. Provides customer service relative to the sale, and assists customers in gaining value through product and service education.

Follows-up with customers through the use of thank you cards, phone calls, etc. to ensure satisfaction. Prepares complete, accurate and timely paperwork and point of sale transactions to ensure accurate and efficient processing. Performs customer verification and cash handling procedures with accuracy and efficiency. Consistently maintains strong knowledge of all Phone & Wireless products, services, promotions and advertising. Maintains knowledge of competitive offers and provides critical market feedback to Manager regarding local competition and product/service needs. Maintains literature, product displays and sales floor inventory and performs other duties as needed to maintain a neat, clean store appearance. Performs store opening and closing procedures in accordance with standard procedures.     

REQUIREMENTS: Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills and problem-resolution skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to legendary customer satisfaction. Demonstrated knowledge of wireless/data products and services, and other Phone & Wireless products and services is preferred. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays. Ability
to stand for long periods of time including up to 8 hours per day. Ability to operate a personal computer, wireless equipment, copier and fax. Telecommunications industry and/or retail experience preferred. Ability to work at multiple locations within the district preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Standing continuously for 1-2 hours; sitting continuously for 1-2 hours; walking up to 5 miles a day; typing and data entry continuously for 1-2 hours; and lifting inventory and other objects weighing approximately 25 lbs.

REQUIRED HOURS: This position is part-time or full-time and requires attendance at the work site up to eight hours a day, and up to 5 days per week on
a consistent basis. Working evenings, weekends, and holidays is often required.

EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED required.

PROVIDED TOOLS: Golden State Phone & Wireless will provide you with access to information and resources required for you to be successful as a Sales Associate with the company.

COMPENSATION: The compensation range for this position is $7.50 - $10.45 per hour. Commissions will be paid according to the incentive program outlined in the attached memo.

BENEFITS: Medical Insurance will be available to regular, full-time employees after six months of consecutive employment with Phone & Wireless and Dental Insurance after six months. Should you elect coverage, you will pay 40% of these insurance premiums and Phone & Wireless will pay the remaining 60% (subject to change). Dependent and spouse coverage is also an option, payable by you at 100%. After twelve months of consecutive employment
with Phone & Wireless, regular, full-time employees will be eligible to enroll in the company's Simple IRA during open enrollment. Further benefits details will be provided to you prior to your eligibility dates.

VACATION: Regular full-time employees are entitled to paid vacations on an annual calendar basis in accordance with the following policy:
After one year of employment: 5 days. After two years of employment: 10 days per year. After five years of employment: 15 days per year.
Further information on vacation accrual, sick time, and personal days will be provided in the company's employee manual.
