Our firm's roots go back to 1947, when Radio Communication Services (RCS) was founded by Mr. & Mrs. G.B. Peterson in San Luis Obispo, California. Providing two-way radio service was the cutting edge back then, and the company has continued to grow and change through the years as technology advanced.

In 1982 the name RCS was changed to TasComm to reflect the company's entrance into the Telephone Answering Service business. Paging services
were also added that year. In January 1998, TasComm merged with another family owned company, The Cellular Source (a Verizon Wireless agent), forming Golden State Phone and Wireless.

Since then, the company has gone on to become the number one Verizon Wireless agent in Northern California, and has developed other divisions in satellite television (providing DishNetwork and DirecTV services), satellite internet, unified messaging and business to business telephone systems.
Only the "best of the best" products available are offered by Phone & Wireless.
